Description
This vibrant garlic cilantro sauce is fresh, creamy, and zesty, perfect for drizzling over tacos, grilled meats, salads, or using as a dip. Quick and easy to make in just five minutes!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves, loosely packed
- 2–3 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
- ½ cup Greek yogurt or mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons lime juice, freshly squeezed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1–2 tablespoons water (optional, to adjust consistency)
Instructions
- Blend the Ingredients: In a blender or food processor, combine cilantro, garlic, Greek yogurt (or mayo), lime juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
- Adjust the Consistency: Blend until smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add 1-2 tablespoons of water, one at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
- Taste and Adjust: Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if needed. Add more lime juice for extra tang or an extra clove of garlic for bold flavor.
- Serve or Store: Serve immediately, or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
Notes
Dairy-Free Alternative: Swap Greek yogurt for coconut yogurt or blended avocado.
Spicy Variation: Add a small jalapeño or a pinch of cayenne for heat.
Citrus Boost: A splash of lemon juice or orange zest can enhance the flavor.
Storage Tip: Freeze in small portions using an ice cube tray for extended use.
